Worried about your speech?
It is quite normal to be worried about giving a speech. In fact the nervous energy will almost certainly help make you animated, and fun to watch. But if you are shy, worried or nervous, then let me know. As well as advising you on what you could say, I can give  you coaching on how to deliver your speech. Together we can build up your confidence so that it is something you will look forward to rather than dread. My charge is just £25 per hour for assistance with speeches. Most people find that 2 to 3 hours is all they need.

If you are hiring me to act as your toastmaster, I can bring a Personal Address system with me that you can use. The system has wireless microphones, which means that you can stand wherever you feel most comfortable (ideally in the room!), and can be used with or without microphone stands (so it doesn't matter whether you would prefer to hold a microphone, or have your hands free, both are possible).  I can show you how to hold the microphone so that it will pick up your voice perfectly. The charge for the hire of the PA system is £50.00 for the afternoon. The system can also be used to play background music during your meal if you wish.

Need help with your planning?
I have worked very closely with a number of wedding planners over the years, and have a good range of useful contacts that I am happy to share. If you need a recomendation for a DJ, magician, solo performer, venue decorator or even a caterer, just let me know. I can recomend wedding dress and suit hire shops, wedding stationery and wedding cake makers, and I even have an excellent personal trainer who will be happy to help you fit into your dream wedding dress!

Want to do things your own way?
Having a toastmaster at your function doesn't mean that you have to be traditional, formal, or rigid. This is your function, and I will listen to what you want, and make sure that is what you get. For example, I can give you information about who gives which speech and toast, at what time, according to British protocol and etiquette, but I will then always ask "what would you like to do?" Together we will find the perfect blend of the traditional and modern, so that you have a reception with your own special stamp on it.
